Fostertown Student Field Trip To Watch 蘑菇传媒Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Get Cut Down in Newburgh
Over 130 K-2 students from Fostertown Elementary School took a field trip this morning to witness the majesty of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree as it was being cut and prepared on Rt. 32 in Newburgh for its 75-mile journey to Manhattan.
蘑菇传媒Fostertown students were excited to see the massive tree and got to stand in front of it and a specially cut slab from the stump for class photos. Some classes made signs and each student made a tree hat to wear for the trip.
蘑菇传媒72-foot tall Norway Spruce is 12 tons and 45-feet in diameter. It’s being cut from the Wallkill home of Shirley Figueroa and Lissette Gutierrez who handed out “Spruce Cones” from their tree to impressed onlookers.
